Technical Details
The Shell Pearl GTL project was created using the Unity Pro development tool. We wrapped the ARToolKit library to create an augmented reality plugin for Unity, giving us marker tracked interaction. As well as the programming, on this project we were also commissioned to produce a stylised model of the Pearl GTL plant suitable for real-time rendering. We were given high-poly source models in CAD format and used Maya to create new model from scratch based on these. The entire project was completed remotely, with regular conference calls.
