System Requirements
The demo requires a decently powerful machine to play back correctly. If your machine doesn't have the required hardware or software it will render using "software" mode which will be very slow and won't look so great. If you suspect the demo is running in software mode you can try to update the drivers for your graphics processor.

Software Requirements:
  • Adobe Flash 11 Browser Plugin (get)
  • IE / FireFox / Chrome web browser.
  • Latest drivers for your graphics processor.
Hardware Requirements:
  • A graphics processor with shader model 2.0 capabilities.

Technical Details
This rendering engine is something we've been working on for a few months now and is part of a larger project. We hope you find this preview interesting. Here are some technical details about the demo:
  • Built for the Adobe Flash 11 platform using AS3 and the free FlashDevelop IDE and using the new Stage3D hardware acceleration in Flash 11.
  • Geometry and textures are converted from source into a highly compressed custom format suitable for streaming over the web.
  • Total geometry size is 350KB.
  • Total texture size is 3.0MB.
  • Shading uses spherical environment maps and tangent-space normal mapping.
  • Our 3D rendering system has the following features:
    • Import models from standard 3D modelling software.
    • Geometry is streamed & decompressed during playback.
    • Textures are streamed progressively in the background from low to high resolution.
    • Supports many material types such as solid, reflective, velvet, transparent.
